ZAHA HADID MELIA ME HOTEL

Purposefully crafted to be more than a hotel, ME Dubai is a lifestyle of sensorial connections. Enjoying pride of place at the cultural epicentre of the city, ME Dubai rewards curious explorers with a combination of art, cuisine, fashion and music. Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. Our goal for this production was to showcase the interaction between the models (guests) and the different hotel facilities. Set in the business bay we wanted to show the stay of a business and world traveler through their eyes. Especially as Zaha Hadid's only hotel we wanted to integrate the design and art aesthetic.

One challenge that we had was to have the models look natural and sophisticated. Shooting the exterior facades was difficult to shoot from there street as the streets were narrow on buildings on each side. We had to highlight the rooms with connection to the city with landmarks like the Burj Khalifa. The solution for the models is having them naturally interact with each other. Letting them know the storyline of business travelers. For the facades we used view cameras with shift movements to maintain the straight lines and show the scale and proportion. It’s important to be positioned strategically to make the facade monumental.
