Arturo+ Lauren were tasked to capture the scenic hillside of Mallorca with views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The duo’s main objective was to create shots that would cater to each client's needs as the architect, the developer, and the furniture designer.

One particular challenge the pair faced was finding ways to shoot the entirety of the space, all without making the mistake of exaggerating the natural essence it encompassed. The property was also set on very steep terrain, making it very tricky to capture in a way that would not come across as threatening and therefore unappealing. Not only this, but there was also the obstacle of dodging fellow neighbors and the very large cranes that were present at the site.

Arturo+Lauren’s strategy for overcoming the given obstacles of the property was to especially utilize drones. The pair embraced the high ceilings of the property by incorporating the drones indoors. This would help make sure they could transmit the feel of living in the home, all while capturing its charming relationship with the surrounding nature. Drones helped them to overcome the challenge of the steep terrain the property was set on as well. In addition, the use of models including a dog at the site was incorporated into the duo’s creative strategy, as it helped assist in the visual storytelling of what natural interaction would look like at the property on video. Arturo+Lauren added to their videography process by incorporating the natural movement of the space, such as the wind blowing through the curtains, attention to detail in the landscaping present, and embracing the shifts in light that the home encompassed from day to night by shooting a timelapse. It is especially at Twilight that the duo found the home to display a significant increase in external illumination.

Ensuring that each client involved would be left with an elated experience, Aruro+Lauren were able to bring to life the grand design of their architectural clients at Tarragona Home Architects, as well as the furniture designs present for their clients at Espacio Home Design, all in uniquely distinct ways that would bring about only the best quality.
