Capturing the Artistry Behind Anita Dongre's Beverly Hills Debut | Retail Photoshoot with Arturo + Lauren

When renowned Indian fashion designer Anita Dongre opened her first US flagship in Beverly Hills, we had the privilege of documenting the space that marks a pivotal moment in her global expansion. Featured in Fortune India's coverage of this milestone, our photography captured the essence of a showroom where every detail tells a story of craftsmanship and intention.

Our photos of Anita Dongre’s retail location was published in Fortune India.

Working closely with Anita's team, we approached this project with the understanding that nothing in the space was off-the-shelf. From the custom millwork to the carefully curated display systems, each element was designed specifically for this location. Our challenge was to honor that level of detail while creating images that felt both elegant and inviting—a visual language that mirrors the designer's own approach to her craft.

One of our primary focuses was lighting. Showrooms, particularly those featuring luxury fashion, can easily feel sterile under harsh commercial lighting. We worked meticulously to ensure the space was photographed with warmth, enhancing the natural light while supplementing it with controlled artificial sources to bring out the richness of the textiles and organic materials throughout the interior. The goal was to create images that felt as welcoming as the physical space itself, where the interplay of light showcased the custom architectural details without losing the intimacy that makes the showroom feel personal rather than purely transactional.

The Fortune India feature highlights how this Beverly Hills location embodies Dongre's vision to bring Indian craftsmanship to the global stage. Our photography aimed to reflect that narrative—capturing not just a retail space, but a carefully considered environment where design, culture, and commerce intersect. Each frame needed to communicate the attention to detail that defines both Anita's collections and the space that houses them.

This project reminded us why we're drawn to spaces where design is paramount. When a client invests in custom fabrication and thoughtful spatial planning, our role becomes one of preservation and translation—turning three-dimensional craft into two-dimensional imagery that retains weight, texture, and intention. The Beverly Hills showroom is more than a store; it's an experience, and we're proud to have documented this chapter of its story.
