ABOUT
This Malibu project features a picturesque private botanical garden compound perched atop the stunning Big Rock Malibu cliffside. This Scandinavian-inspired treehouse, designed by Ryan White with architect Neda Winters, showcases organic elements and glass structures that seamlessly integrate with the surrounding landscape.
Photographing this project presented a unique challenge due to the June Gloom, with consistently overcast skies. After postponing the shoot once, we decided to proceed despite the fog. Embracing the weather, we incorporated the mist into the visuals, highlighting the surreal and dreamy atmosphere it created. This choice added an otherworldly quality to the property, from sunrise to sunset, enhancing its magical allure.
