Arturo+Lauren understood that for their clients this was a design-oriented hotel. So much so that the famous architectural company known as Estudio Carne Pino's was hired to design it. Thus, capturing the amenities and architectural details was tremendously important for the pair to carry out. With that said, their goal was to shoot the villas from a design perspective, not to simply just reveal their grand spaces. Different parts of the hotel were renovated periodically and Arturo+Lauren were specifically tasked with shooting both photography and videography for the newly constructed villas that were the top rooms in the hotel, each one having its own private pool and set right in the center of nature. For their clients, these brilliant images would serve as not only great imagery for their brand and social media, but also for their booking portals - ultimately helping sell their hotel rooms for them. Arturo+Lauren's videography for the hotel was so innovative at the time it was released, in 2015, due to the techniques they utilized which were unseen back then. It was an 8K video where they combined still imagery with a technique they call quicklapse. Continuing to let their individuality shine, the pair found it essential to think outside the box and accomplish the maximum quality they could with a fresh cinematic feel. Incorporating motion graphics and texts that would help viewers get a super in-depth story of the boutique hotel's unique details was another way the duo accomplished this.

One major challenge of shooting this project for Arturo+Lauren was to accurately capture the beauty of how private and secluded these amazing villas were, while also representing them as part of the entire hotel.
-
One of Arturo+Lauren's strategies on this project, was they used people to help give scale to the building and naturally relate to the surrounding environment. They also used strategic angles which ultimately helped them overcome the obstacle of making these more secluded villas appear as part of the rest of the hotel, yet beautifully hidden. Although the pair do not tend to shoot hotels during the summer (due to it being peak season), this project was special in that it had to be shot in phases and one of the phases of renovation required them to shoot it as soon as possible. Arturo+Lauren would show up to the property earlier in the day, strategizing a good time where the strong summer sun would be a good enough midpoint. This strategy helped them capture the lighting at low angles and thus, make the existing textures shine. Specifically, using this time of day to shoot the interiors, capturing all of the enchanting light that radiates throughout. The contrast between the interior and exterior lighting was so intense, that the duo utilized special techniques in post-processing to help it come together more harmoniously, while also avoiding the exterior from looking too harsh. Lastly, the pair used aerial imagery to encapsulate the lovely landscaping of the property as well.

In the end, Arturo+Lauren were able to use their knowledge, skill, and dedication to produce amazing quality images and video. The videography significantly shone, as their clients loved it so much due to having never before seen the photographs viewed in motion, making it tremendously special to have created. Arturo+Lauren note that, quote: "When a client hires us for photos and video, they want a consistency set between both mediums, and we do everything we need to do in order to accomplish just that and more. Achieving our goal of leaving all parties involved with an experience of phenomenal quality. "
