Set at the base of the Hollywood Hills along the Sunset Strip, 1 Hotel West Hollywood brings Southern California’s landscape into an urban setting. Reclaimed wood, native greenery, and natural materials shape the interiors, while views stretch from Downtown Los Angeles toward Santa Monica. Together, these elements give the hotel a strong connection to its surroundings.

ABOUT

For 1 Hotel West Hollywood, we created a connected set of architectural and lifestyle photography and video. The visual approach brought the property’s spaces and guest experience together, with a consistent look across stills and motion.

The creative direction leaned into the hotel’s earthy character, from the natural tones in the wardrobe and hair to the way we used foliage, light, and framing. We selected one model whose presence felt aligned with the property and directed her with an understated, natural energy.

Our goal was to highlight the spaces that give the hotel its character. The lobby’s layered, earthy design, the pool’s expansive views, the Canyon Suite’s balcony, and the Juniper Terrace each offered a different way to express the property’s relationship with its surroundings.

We photographed and filmed the lobby in the early morning, using the quiet atmosphere and soft light to bring out its materials and textures. At the pool, we emphasized the open views. In the Canyon Suite, the balcony became a focal point, connecting the room to the landscape beyond.

For the Juniper Terrace, we framed the model through leaves, letting the planting shape the composition and create a sense of discovery. Across each space, we favored elegant, dynamic angles and natural movement, giving the lifestyle imagery energy while keeping the model integrated into the environment.

The final photography and video share a cohesive visual language, presenting the architecture and lifestyle as parts of the same story. Together, the assets capture 1 Hotel West Hollywood through its materials, views, and the quieter moments of experiencing the property.
