Hilton’s Oceana Santa Monica is a study in understated coastal luxury. Natural light, soft textures, and carefully curated design elements create spaces that feel both sophisticated and inviting. Our goal was to capture the property's relaxed elegance, highlighting the details, atmosphere, and sense of place that make Oceana one of Santa Monica's most distinctive luxury hotels.

REFRESHING THE VISUAL IDENTITY OF OCEANA SANTA MONICA HOTEL
Oceana Santa Monica approached us as part of a broader brand refresh and website redesign. While the property had long been recognized as one of Santa Monica's premier luxury boutique hotels, much of its existing photography and video content no longer reflected the elevated, editorial direction the team envisioned for the brand.
At the same time, the hotel had recently introduced La Monique, a new restaurant designed by renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki. While La Monique was a key focus of the refresh, the goal extended beyond documenting a renovated space. The hotel wanted a cohesive collection of lifestyle-driven imagery and video content that would bring the entire guest experience to life and support the launch of its new website.
To achieve this, we produced a one-day lifestyle photo and video shoot across several of the property's signature spaces, including La Monique, the pool deck, terrace, and one of the hotel's suites. Rather than creating traditional hospitality imagery, our focus was on capturing authentic moments, atmosphere, and a sense of place through a more editorial lens.
The production involved a full creative team, including three models, a wardrobe stylist, prop stylist, makeup artist, and supporting crew. Every detail was carefully considered to create imagery that felt natural, aspirational, and aligned with the property's refined coastal identity.
The resulting collection of photographs and films became a key part of Oceana's rebranding effort and now features prominently throughout the hotel's new website and marketing materials. The client was thrilled with the final work, and the updated visual presence successfully reflects the elevated guest experience Oceana delivers today.
