LONG BEACH

We were brought on by Hirsch Bedner Associates to capture the redesigned Fairmont Breakers Long Beach, focusing on photo and video of the main hero spaces across the property. The approach was centered on highlighting the contrast between the building’s historic character and the updated interiors, using light and composition to bring out the atmosphere of each space.

ABOUT

We were brought on by HBA to capture the newly redesigned Fairmont Breakers Long Beach, focusing on both photo and video across the property’s key public spaces. The project itself is a full restoration of a 1926 landmark, blending historic architectural details with a more modern, coastal-driven design approach.

The goal was to highlight the main hero spaces, especially areas like the lobby, restaurants, and bar concepts, each with its own distinct identity but still tied together through materiality and atmosphere. We approached the shoot by treating each space almost like its own story, focusing on light, texture, and movement to bring out the contrast between the preserved historic elements and the newer design layers. Overall, it was about capturing that balance of heritage and modern luxury, and making the spaces feel as immersive and elevated on camera as they do in person.
