RESIDENTIAL

SAN MARINO

Los Angeles

We worked with JH2 Architecture to capture a Tudor-style residence in San Marino through both photo and a brand-driven video centered on June’s design philosophy, focusing on how she transformed a typically dark style into something light, open, and livable. The film also highlights the shift from day to twilight and incorporates subtle lifestyle moments, including the homeowners’ dogs, to make the space feel real and lived-in.

We worked with JH2 Architecture on a private residence in San Marino, capturing both photo and video. The video leaned more like a brand piece around June’s design philosophy rather than just a walkthrough of the home.

The house is Tudor-style, which usually reads pretty dark and heavy, so a big part of what we focused on was how she flipped that. The interiors feel light, open, and really livable, so we leaned into natural light and simple, intentional camera movement to bring that out. A lot of the filming was about slowing down and letting the details land, the materials, the layering, all the small decisions that make the space feel considered.

We also wanted to show how the house shifts throughout the day. During daylight it feels bright and calm, and then at twilight it takes on a completely different mood. We spent time outside capturing that transition, where the interior light starts to glow and the exterior feels a bit more atmospheric.

We brought in the homeowners’ dogs in a few moments to make it feel less staged and more like an actual home. Nothing over-directed, just enough to add some life and movement.

Overall it was about showing the contrast, taking something that could feel traditional and heavy and presenting it in a way that feels fresh, light, and lived-in, while still respecting the architecture.
